    Mt. Everest Day Celebration
    The Embassy of Nepal in London jointly with Nepal Tourism Board UK and Sherpa Association UK organised an event to celebrate 63rd anniversary of the first successful ascent to Mt. Everest summited by Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa of Nepal and 9th official Everest Day on 16th Jestha 2073 i.e. 29th May 2016. The programme also aimed to promote Nepal Tourism, mountaineering and adventures as well as to create awareness about serious concern of rapidly growing Everest Pollution.

    9th Republic Day Celebration
    The Embassy of Nepal, London celebrated Nepalís 9th Republic Day on Saturday, 28th May 2016 to commemorate the creation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal on May 28, 2008. The celebration started with the National anthem, followed by a moment of silence which was observed in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the people, republic and prosperity of the country. The day marks the establishment of republic in Nepal by abolishing the 240-year-old monarchy and declaring the country a secular, federal democratic republic.

    Hon'ble Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Kamal Thapa London visit
    Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Kamal Thapa had a meeting with Minister of State Rt. Hon. Hugo Swire at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom this afternoon. During the meeting, the matters of bilateral relations, the development support from the United Kingdom to Nepal, the reconstruction process, and exchange of high-level visits were discussed.

    Earthquake Memorial Day
    The Embassy of Nepal, London organised Earthquake Memorial Day on 25th April at Embassy to commemorate the anniversary of devastating Earthquake that struck Nepal on 25th April 2015. The Commemoration ceremony started with a minutes of silence in which was leaded by the Worshipful Mayor of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Councillor Robert Freeman.
